Longstanding Japanese outlet NEPENTHES has the retail game on lock, having historically been a supporter of not only independent apparel, but independent print as well. Here we find NEPENTHES endeavoring into the print realm itself, launching its in-house publication: NEPENTHES in print this season. Behind the strikingly minimalist cover, the bi-lingual magazine features profiles on Japanese stalwarts such as stylist Naoki Ikeda and artist Peter Beard, while designer Daiki Suzuki offers a special perspective on the future of Engineered Garments’ spring/summer 2015. Set to release every season, NEPENTHES in print already looks to have a promising start. Pick up the inaugural issue at NEPENTHES doors around Japan, with an international release hopefully following soon.
