After getting personal in a rather candid interview earlier this week, here we’re finally treated to a look at REVOK’s debut solo show in Los Angeles. Although once an LA resident, the notorious artist went on a self-imposed exile in the burgeoning art capital of Detroit, honing his fine art skills under the comparatively lax legal system in the Motor City. Here we find REVOK making a triumphant return, showcasing a series of beautifully complex geometrical works, using wood and vibrant gradients to create dazzling, psychedelic shapes in 2D and 3D. These pieces create a neat parallel to the artist’s past graffiti works, which themselves are revered for their trippy handstyle.
