Eerie does not begin to describe the present state of the vacated and forgotten hotels of Austria that urban explorer Thomas Windisch has captured. In some cases, the rooms have been left intact, as if time has stood still in the respective spheres since the last occupant. Other rooms depict dishevelment at the hands of nature, which has had its way with the man-made establishments — the floors have been overrun by roots and greenery, and the decayed walls have begun crumbling.
