Upper Playground has organized a special print show together with Fifty24SF, showcasing works by renowned Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. Having won the highest achievement in air-brush artistry, the Vargas Award, Sorayama’s imaginative, erotic pieces often feature feminine robotic chrome figures in sexualized poses — a signature style that the artist has perfected over the last 40 years. His work can be found in permanent displays at MoMA, the Smithsonian Institue, and the US Library of Congress. Based in San Francisco, the exhibition will open on April 4 spanning until April 26, showcasing the new and old prints by one of the most influential pin-up artists of our time. For more information, visit the websites of the artist and the gallery.
