New York-based photographer Richard Silver has released his “Time-Sliced” series, capturing changing light from day to night in a single composition. Visiting some of the most recognizable landmarks around the globe, Silver’s artwork features renowned architectural and international landmark sites such as the Beijing National Stadium, the Milan Cathedral, Palace of Westminster, Gateway of India, the Colosseum, the Shanghai skyline, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and Ahu Tongariki, among a few others. Each of the images incorporate 36 individual photos taken in 30-minute intervals around dusk. The artist explains, “My intention with the project is to show the light of day turning into the dark of night in one single photograph.” Enjoy the time-expanding photos above.
