Pen & Paper: Towns

For this edition of Pen & Paper, we present to you London graffiti artist, Towns. Towns’ style

For this edition of Pen & Paper, we present to you London graffiti artist, Towns. Towns’ style has much of his experience traveling and the Big Smoke’s dynamic art scene to be thankful for. In search of mathematical precision, the ambitious artist pushes himself in being as meticulous as he can with each artwork. Towns’ style incorporates many aspects, such as an early fascination with symmetrical geometry, while typography is another genre that he exudes with excellence. For large murals and street art work, Towns exhibits a detailed balance of technique and execution, applying vibrant colors and bold line-work to create an aesthetically-pleasing outcome that’s tinged with graffiti’s raw energy. Departing from loud hues, his Pen & Paper shows another side of the versatile artist. Here, Towns presents a number of fetching iterations to the HYPEBEAST emblem in stark black and white. Check out the various fonts and scripts abvove, along with a few sketchbook renderings and head to his Facebook and Instagram for more on the fledgling artist.
