The first thing that might strike you about Toronto-based photographer Andrew B. Myers is the lack of, say, concentration. Instead, Myers’ aesthetic chiefly deals in the bigger picture, as he meticulously arranges smaller objects on colorful backgrounds to create surreal, wallpaper-like landscapes – if you’ll call them that. Myers studied at Toronto’s own Ryerson University, developing this style while in school. His neat perspective seems loosely informed by the quirky motifs of KENZO or TOILETPAPER, a welcome, diverse approach in the saturated realm of popular photography.
