Centre Pompidou in Paris is hosting the “Jeff Koons: A Retrospective” exhibition — the first of its kind in Europe, having been previously held in New York City. As one of the most notable and controversial contemporary artists in recent times, Jeff Koons‘ retrospective exhibition presents the full breadth of the artist’s work from the past 35 years. The display is comprised of about 100 pieces of multiple types of art forms like paintings and sculptures, and includes renowned pieces such as Balloon Dog (1994-2000), Michael Jackson and Bubbles (1988), Titi (2004-2009) and Rabbit (1986). And yet, despite its extensive range, Koons’ body of work encompasses the artist’s renowned kitschiness and shock value.
