Coming this September to the Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery in New York City is the latest solo exhibition from José Parlá. Entitled “IN MEDIAS RES,” the exhibition will be home to brand new paintings and sculptures, as well as a large-scale mural installation, and will chronicle the life of the artist, beginning with his childhood and including his extensive travels across the globe. In conjunction with the display, Damiani will also publish a brand new monograph by the same name, which will exist as Parlá’s most comprehensive survey to date–spanning his earliest sketchbooks to his current international projects and exhibitions–and include essays by the likes of Dieter Buchart, Lara Pan, and Bryce Wolkowitz. “IN MEDIAS RES” will open September 12 and remain on display through October 18.
