Celebrated British artist Damien Hirst is set to open his own gallery in a street-length space on Newport Street in Lambeth, London. Slated to open in 2015, the gallery will display Hirst’s 2,000-piece art collection, which includes works by the likes of Francis Bacon, Jeff Koons and Banksy to name a few. It will also serve as an office space for Hirst, who currently has a studio on the same street and was quoted in The Observer in 2012 as saying, “It’s a place to show my collection of contemporary art. It feels bad having it all in crates.” Stay tuned for more information when the space opens in May 2015.
