On its second year, Art Basel Hong Kong 2014 took the city by storm. Alongside a roster of international acts shown at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, art events such as Converse’s “Open Studio” at The Space also provided examples of creativity. Curated by British artist Mark Goss in conjunction with Converse, the event built off the concept of an open work space where viewers could come see art being created first-hand. Joining Goss were a list of artist from the U.S., Canada and Belgium — Above, Caratoes, Cody Hudson, Peter Yuill and Richard Colman — who painted vibrant murals, while others worked on intricate sketches and screen prints. Each artist also took to Converse‘s Chuck Taylor All-Stars silhouette as a canvas, creating their own iteration of the iconic sneakers. Enjoy the recap here and stay tuned for more from Art Basel Hong Kong 2014.
