Through the efforts of both Maison Martin Margiela and Obscura Magazine, an exhibition was held in Hong Kong to celebrate the involvement of five photographers for MMM’s Replica fragrance line. Titled “Smells Like Memories,” the exhibition had the photographers take a set of six images, each using one of six fragrances as the stimulus for their works. Participating were Wing Shya, Suki Lui, Martin Cheung and Topaz Leung from Hong Kong, and Takashi Homma and Hideaki Hamada from Japan. Displayed at the Amelia Johnson Contemporary space, the event came as a successful ending to what was the last leg of the exhibition’s global tour. Check the images above for a look at the set-up.
