As a part of its recently launched sport-meets-art Fierce Collective roll-out, Gatorade enlisted the talents of New York-based street artist, Krink. The Fierce Collective represents the intersection of sport and art. While the two have, more often than not, subsisted in different spheres, the Fierce Collective enlisted a range of eight top artists and creators to capture the bold and intense flavors of the Gatorade brand, through their own artistic expression.
Building upon the ethos of blending his unique street art style with a ubiquitous street machine, Krink spent a day in Los Angeles covering a matte black truck with a bold blue paint dripped hue. A nod to the staple blue flavor of Gatorade, the truck is an extension of not only Krink’s trademark style, but also draws parallels between the urban landscapes and canvases that Krink began his journey working with – only this time it’s mobile.
The completed truck will be taking a drive through the streets of Los Angeles before taking up a spot at the iconic Venice Beach Courts this Friday, April 11 from 2:00PM PST to 6:00PM PST. Embodying a decidedly street art meets street ball concept, the truck will be a mobile installation that will bring the Gatorade Fierce product and Krink’s mobile truck to the streets of Venice.
