Artist Uses Type for Paint in Travel Posters
Since the invention of the typewriter, writers and artist alike have been using it to showcase

Since the invention of the typewriter, writers and artist alike have been using it to showcase their creativity. Prior to GIFs and animations, ASCII — the American Standard Code for Information Interchange — was a common scheme used in art-typing. Fusing architecture, history and typography, Swedish engineer Per Nilsson celebrates the art form by fusing iconic landmarks with well-known type fonts. Based around the typefaces Futura, Garamond and Helvetica, each piece explores the type designer’s national roots via its respective national architecture, and includes the typeface creator’s name and the year it was conceived. View the collection here and head to Nordic Design Collective to purchase the pieces for $60 USD each.
