KAWS kicks off 2014 with a brand new exhibition at Madrid’s Galeria Javier Lopez. Entitled “Play Your Part,” the new display is decidedly more intimate and smaller in scale than the Brooklyn artist’s recent stints at New York’s Mary Boone Gallery, Johnson County Community College’s Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Instead, the installation follows the likes of Todd James‘s “Business As Usual” showcase at the Spanish gallery last year, eschewing sculpture in favor of a focus on a select few paintings. “Play Your Part” opened today, February 20 and will remain on display through April 23.
