Futura x Sprite "Breaking Through" for 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend Teaser

Keeping his heart in the streets, legendary artist Futura teamed up with beverage heavyweight

Keeping his heart in the streets, legendary artist Futura teamed up with beverage heavyweight Sprite to create three custom basketballs for the impending All-Star Weekend. The three pieces each attempt to illustrate the parallels between street culture and sport – which sometimes meet on the playground or hardwood. Aside from designing a version celebrating LeBron James, Futura and Sprite also created the “Double Dribbler” and “Leave Your Mark” versions to celebrate pure street art and Sprite’s generous support of creativity and athletics. What’s more, the three pieces will each go up for auction after the All-Star festivities, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of America. For more information on the project, enjoy the below clips.
