Hong Kong’s Galerie Perrotin is proud to present the works of Japanese manga artist MR. Titled

Hong Kong’s Galerie Perrotin is proud to present the works of Japanese manga artist MR. Titled “Sweet!,” the show brings together 10 never-before-seen paintings with animated girls at its center. MR. utilizes bold hues and formative lines in portraying his characters, using hand-painted brush stokes in the interpretation of Japanese pop-art, aptly blending practices of fine art and contemporary approaches in one canvas. Having worked as an assistant to illustrious artist Takashi Murakami, MR.’s work also reflects that of his mentor, with promiscuous and eerie motifs running throughout. The exhibition will launch October 4 and will run for just over a month.
