After making circles around each other within the industry for years without actually meeting, Obey‘s Shepard Fairey finally teamed up with famed New York graffiti artist, COPE2. A dedicated fan of COPE2’s work from the early ’90s, the two initially made contact when Fairey spotted his signature bubble font on a skateboard showing at their gallery, and the pair have since collaborated on a series of walls and projects. The latest from the collaborative forces is the Obey X COPE2 Screen Print, which features COPE2’s signature bubble font atop the Obey icon, and is set to release in a run of 300 with 100 available July 25 at the Obey online store.
