Acclaimed for his illustrations and toy designs, British graphic artist James Jarvis has opened his second solo exhibition at the UK’s Beach London. Entitled “Objects in Space,” the hometown display features a variety of large-format freehand airbrushed pieces, each featuring Jarvis’ signature “Sphere” – “an abstracted, archetypal every-character” – as it interacts with a series of real-life urban environments. Each artwork takes inspiration from famous skate spots as Sphere’s struggling interplay with the surroundings reflects skateboarding’s “re-appropriation and re-interpretation of architectural space.” Jarvis’s latest exhibition opened at the London gallery on June 6 and will remain on display through June 30.
