French artist Jean-Philippe Delhomme started illustrating out of a fascination with photography. It seems only fitting then that his work for Louis Vuitton‘s Travel Book would be as picturesque, as concerned with composition as it is. The French luxury brand commissioned Delhomme to illustrate his vision of New York City for the latest in their series of Travel Books, other editions of which also cover London, Paris and other European cities. Watch Delhomme translate his imaginative, colorful vision into boldly rich gouache paintings in the above video, which takes a turn for the fantastic toward the end. The book is now available at Louis Vuitton stores and online for $56 USD.
