McGee’s most recent show is up in the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, which showcases a vast array of the California-born artist’s paintings, sculptures and mixed media work. Visitors will encounter a heavy animation influence, installations that frequently reference graffiti through spray paint cans, and rich, detailed patterning throughout.
