José Parlá is an artist known for his collages and murals, where he combines textures and found objects to create unique statements on culture and society. His most recent exhibition, titled “PROSE,” opened recently at the YUKA TSURUNO GALLERY in Tokyo and presented the artist’s newest range of collages intended to resemble city walls. According to Parla, city walls are where “the energy, history, and culture of urban society are located, and where human memory and psychology are inscribed.” The show is open now through May 18.
