With a film premiere and limited-edition release slated for the weeks ahead, December will undoubtedly cap off an eventful year for New York-based artist Daniel Arsham. Ahead of his upcoming stint at Design Miami/ 2013 – his “FUTURE RELIC” film and limited edition mobile phone toy will be joined by a collaborative Occupant performance alongside Jonah Bokaer – Arsham sat down with Crane.tv to discuss his inanimate, fossilized creations and the experimentation involved in creating his signature pieces. Arsham’s “FUTURE RELIC 01” is set to debut in Miami this weekend while his limited edition mobile phone toy is due to be available beginning December 6 at both Miami’s The Webster and Parisian boutique colette.
