Alongside today’s release of the always-good Obscura Magazine, SILLY THING has also unveiled the second volume of Blackbird ahead of the new year. Under the theme of “Into the Wilderness,” the racing-focused periodical will consider two unsung heroes from two very different realms – Shin Yoshikawa and the legendary Frank Stephenson. Yoshikawa is widely renowned for his mastery of restoration and engineering with the iconic Toyota 2000GT, arguably one of the first Japanese street-ready supercars. Stephenson, on the other hand, is the designer of the McLaren P1 – the pinnacle of modern sports cars. Both features offer juxtaposing views on cars and engineering theory, surely a good read for gearheads worldwide. Other features take a look at the Pagani Huayra hypercar, as well as Renault’s futuristic new electric car.
