Industrial designer Tom Dixon, famed for his welded salvaged-metal furniture, has released Dixonary

Industrial designer Tom Dixon, famed for his welded salvaged-metal furniture, has released Dixonary – an intuitively-designed book revealing the processes behind his work. The self-taught designer first came to prominence with his S-Chair — manufactured by Giulio Cappelini and now in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. His acclaim has since taken him from furniture to all manner of industrial design including his Eccentric lifestyle item collection of which Dixonary is a part.
The hardcover book is a generous 614-page read and can be enjoyed front-to-back and vice versa, as the unique layout features a page detailing the thought processes behind each project sandwiched between both an inspirational image and a photo of the finished product. Priced at £42 GBP (approximately $70 USD), the book is currently available for purchase over at MR PORTER.
