"Box" Short Film by Bot & Dolly

Encompassing elements of visual mastery and graphic-design engineering, design and engineering studio Bot & Dolly have released a five-minute short film titled “Box,” which features a cross-dimensional compilation of projection-mapped illusions. Created using Bot & Dolly’s custom software, BD Movie, the system merges artistic and functional elements of 3D software system Maya with robotic movements, and the product is the mind-bending transition of a canvas, captured within the short film. Projecting five essential principles of magic – including Transition, Levitation, Intersection, Teleportation and Escape - check out Bot & Dolly’s blend of magic and technology with “Box” below, and peep the following behind-the-scenes video to follow the film’s creation process.
