After making his way to both Staten Island and the Upper West Side over the weekend, the latest installment of “Better Out Than In” sees Banksy hitting the South Bronx for Ghetto 4 Life. Yet another piece of signature Banksy satire, the work is in the same vein as the likes of the This Is My New York Accent graffiti – the artist’s second work of street art for the month-long residency – and sees the Brit poking fun at posturing: the oversized text is hilariously accompanied by a stencil of a young graffiti artist and his helpful butler. As the Village Voice studiously points out, Ghetto 4 Life is perhaps even a bit of an homage to Frances Hodgson Burnett’s Little Lord Fauntleroy.
