Such a story of business is worth noting down for future reference, which is exactly what New York Magazine editor Christopher Bonanos did with his Instant: The Story of Polaroid. The soon-to-be-released book tells of the many facets behind the instant film pop-culture, from the technology, to the many creative avenues paved by its audience, to the corporate side of things. Much larger than the frame of which it has become so synonymous with, Instant: The Story of Polaroid “tells a larger story, about the rise and fall of American invention and manufacturing.” In showcasing the book’s October release, Princeton Architectural Press produced the trailer shown below that tells of what to expect within the pages.
