"The Art of Chess" Exhibition @ Saatchi Gallery
The Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea serves as the upcoming home for a cunning and artistic

The Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea serves as the upcoming home for a cunning and artistic interpretation of the game of chess. Employing 16 sets in total – crafted by the likes of Tim Noble, Sue Webster, Rachel Whiteread, Barbara Kruger, Paul McCarthy and Damien Hirst – the individual pieces have been shown as singular entities in galleries in the USA, Russian Federation, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Czech Republic, Australia and Switzerland. This unique exhibition demonstrates that the game has lost none of its inspirational power in the 21st century and continues to provide an intriguing starting point for artistic expression centuries after the game was invented. “The Art of Chess” runs from September 8-October 3 at the Saatchi Gallery.
