Thomas Gidding expands his portfolio of moving images with this sick short. Featuring professional stuntman Arran Topham as some sort of seaborne Ironman, the film draws inspiration from Greek mythology–Icarus is the boy who fell to his death because he flew too close to the sun and its heat melted his wings. The Flyboard, which makes this aquatic acrobatics possible, is the brainchild of world champion jet-ski racer Franky Zapata in Marseilles. Merging the grace of flying with swimming, this water-powered jetpack-enabled video was shot in Poole Harbor, Dorset from dusk through dawn.
