Art Focus: Hyungkoo Lee Recreates the Skeletal Structures of Cartoon Characters

Korean artist Hyungkoo Lee presents a humorous series of famous cartoon characters in skeletal form

Korean artist Hyungkoo Lee presents a humorous series of famous cartoon characters in skeletal form entitled Homo Animatus. Using resin, aluminum sticks, stainless steel wires, springs, oil paint, a great dose of imagination, as well as some anatomical instinct, he creates some comical forensic art featuring childhood favorites like Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner, Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Donald Duck, and his three duckling nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. While these won’t be making the Museum of Natural History, they will make you smile at the very least.
