Acclaim Magazine got a chance to chat with Chaz Bojorquez when he was in Melbourne, Australia earlier this year for the street culture-centric 2012 Carbon Festival. In this video interview with Andrew Montell, Chaz talks about graffiti’s early days, his humble origins, and how his iconic ‘Cholo’ hand-lettering style has swept through the streets of Los Angeles and graced the skin of many of LA’s locals. The prolific street art pioneer will also be showing an exhibition of hand-painted skate decks at the Saint Side City store in Melbourne this Friday the 13th.
