The Battle at the Berrics V Skate Competition Trophy by Haroshi

Japanese sculptor Haroshi has made a name for himself through his innovative use of recycled skateboard materials to create impressive art installations in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Haroshi was recently commissioned to create a unique trophy for the winner of the Battle at the Berrics V, hosted by pro skaters Steve Berra and Eric Koston. Similar to his middle finger salute in the DLX x HUF installation, this two-handed trophy takes on a more pixelated profile through Haroshi’s use of cubes of carefully polished skate deck layers atop a stone base. You can keep tabs on the current standings of the Berrics V Skate Comp here, and see a lot more from Haroshi when his works land at Art Basel Week in Switzerland, starting on June 14.
