Currently on display at the agnès b. gallery boutique in New York City, the “Musique Plastique” exhibition is a synesthetic show fusing visual arts with music. Playing on the French phrase for “fine arts,” the show features the works of renowned visual-musical artists across genres in interaction with compilation music of varying style. Artists include Tobias Bernstrup, Hisham Bharoocha and Ben Vida, Etienne Charry, Brian DeGraw, Daniel Johnston, Jonas Mekas, Thurston Moore, David Shrigley, Alan Vega, and Liz Wendelbo. This exhibition is curated by Jean Francois Sanz and will run through August 25.
