Award-winning Japanese fashion design extraordinaire Yohji Yamamoto, fresh of his appearance on the cover of the most recent issue of Surface, is set to take a small departure from the world of fashion with the creation of his first feature film. Having previously appeared as the subject of the documentary This Is My Dream, this will be Yamamoto’s first foray into directing. Set to be completed sometime within the next two years, a scriptwriter has already been commissioned with Yamamoto stating that the film will not focus on himself as the subject.
