VICE Acquires i-D Magazine
International purveyors of the “cool,” VICE has announced the stretch of their empire, buying out

International purveyors of the “cool,” VICE has announced the stretch of their empire, buying out the iconic trend-heavy tome i-D Magazine. Announcing the deal with the iconic British magazine as a “beautiful partnership,” the founder Terry Jones and wife Tricia will still remain shareholders and creative visionaries, only now with extra assistance from VICE in producing more superb styled content. i-D will still release its monthly print magazine, but expect a boost in online material, video content and digital media with the help of VICE’s prolific approach in creative online production.
“VICE is so excited to work with the guys at i-D magazine, one of the only fashion publications in the world we actually respect,” says VICE president Andrew Creighton. As for i-D, Jones has called the alliance “the beginning of an incredibly exciting chapter in i-D’s history,” recently tweeting in enthusiasm “WE JUST GOT MARRIED.” Keep your ears to the group for more news.
