Contemporary LA-based artist Steven Harrington is known for his psychedelic-pop aesthetic and bright, iconic style, art inspired by the wealth and diversity of Californian culture. Despite the playful qualities inherent in his work however, Harrington, more importantly, encourages a two-way conversation between the artist and viewer. This trait is again apparent in The Thinker, the artist’s newest 3D sculpture – a piece that provokes dialogue and contemplation even as its fluid lines and exaggerated, eye-catching features please the eye.
