Having already uncovered POW WOW‘s founding ethos in Part I as well as its featured Earth-inspired artwork from February’s show in Part II, Director Michael Inouye presents the finale to his three-part retrospective video compilation. “Demonstrating the true spirit of the event as a gathering to celebrate art and culture, this video highlights the cultural exchange between the visiting and local artists.” Additionally we’re offered a look into a majority of the finished murals, the event’s impact on the local Hawaiian community, and the famous luau and closing blackout party at Fresh Cafe + Loft in Space. This wonderfully curated video series does the essential job of reintroducing POW WOW Hawai’i to the world as founder Jasper Wong and his band of creatives gear up for the fourth showing in February 2013.
