Scored somewhat ironically to James Brown’s classic “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine,” the latest in LRG’s Artist Series of videos documents the creation of an impressive “Free Revok” mural by Noah Banks. Equipped with a head cam, Noah treks out to one of his favorite spots to create the piece – part of a continuously growing movement to draw attention to fellow artist Revok’s recent 180-day jail sentence and incarceration. Shot in a stylish combination of slow motion and time-lapse, the short video offers great insight into the hard work and artistry that goes into all of the murals people tend to take for granted or even condemn in urban areas.
