Seminal grunge band Nirvana will have a collection of memorabilia put on display in the band’s hometown of Seattle as part of next month’s “Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses” exhibition. Some of the notable pieces set to be displayed include a never before exhibited high school painting by lead singer Kurt Kobain, handwritten lyrics by Cobain of “Span Thru” and Floyd the Barber,” Cobain’s iconic yellow cardigan as well as various instruments used by the band members. The exhibition will run for a limited time from April 16-22 at the Experience Music Project Science Fiction Museum.
