Early next month, the second annual Kicking & Screening Film Festival kicks off in New York.

Early next month, the second annual Kicking & Screening Film Festival kicks off in New York. Originally conceived in 2009 by Rachel Markus, Annie Vinton and former MLS player Greg Lalas, the film festival celebrates the beautiful game through cinematography. The five day event is divided into different themes including The 12th Man, War and Football, The Man in the Middle, The Power of the Game and To Africa, With Love. The first four days will be screened at the Tribeca Cinemas while the fifth theme, To Africa, With Love will take place at the Nike Stadium Bowery. More info on the times and dates can be seen here while this year also marks the start of the Kicking & Screening Photography Competition.
